Three freshly restored pens! Ready to write again!

Just a few weeks ago I restored an Esterbrook for DianeB. She recently sent me three more pens for restoration, though none were Esterbrooks. There was a Wearever, Vacuum, and Parker Challenger in this assortment. Here are some before and after pictures of the pens for your viewing enjoyment!

Please, leave a comment and let me know what you think of this!

Here's the whole pen before restoration

Check out that crack in the section... Yikes!

Here's the vacuum pen before restoration. Notice the section...

Here's the vacuum nib before it went under my special "tuning" treatment.

Here's a before shot of the Parker Challenger. This pen does not have the original Parker nib in it.

Here's the nib of the Parker Challenger. Notice the bend in the tip. Ouch!

Now for some after pictures!

  1. Did you manage to repair the crack in the section? If so, how did you do it?

  2. No, I replaced the section on this pen. Being that the pen was very inexpensive it was not worth it to fix the crack. Much cheaper to replace it... :)
